lockerbex.com presents itself as "RIFTED — Value & Sell Your Fortnite Locker". It is a lure aimed at Fortnite players who want to know what their skins and cosmetics are worth or to cash them out. How the scam works
Locker valuation and resale sites prey on a simple hook: players are told their collection could be worth real money and are invited to sign in so the site can price it. On a fake service like this, that sign-in step is the trap. Account credentials, and often verification codes, go straight to the operators, who then take over the game account and its linked purchases and cosmetics. A legitimate-sounding brand name like RIFTED and a polished valuation pitch make the request look routine.
Evidence
Thirteen of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain by 2026-10-05, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. That is a solid spread of independent vendors for a site only days into detection. Google Safe Browsing lists it for social engineering, and Spamhaus carries it on its DBL as a phishing domain. Two AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference it, so other researchers have tracked this operation as well.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Global Domain Group LLC on 2026-08-27, just 37 days before PhishDestroy caught it. That short gap is typical of throwaway phishing domains spun up for a single campaign. Traffic runs through Cloudflare (AS13335, US), which places a proxy in front of the real server and keeps the origin hidden from visitors and investigators.
What to do
If you signed in on lockerbex.com, change your Epic Games password immediately from the official site or app. Do the same for any other account that shares that password. Then enable or reset two-factor authentication and sign out of all active sessions. Check your account's linked platforms, email address and purchase history for changes you did not make, and contact Epic support if anything looks wrong. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and watch for similar locker-valuation lures aimed at younger gaming audiences.
