PhishDestroy threat report
ledgr-en-desktop.pages.dev is a phishing page impersonating Ledger. It presents itself as "Ledger Live Desktop – Secure Crypto Portfolio, Wallet & Apps" to people looking for the companion software for their hardware wallet. The misspelled "ledgr" in the address is meant to pass a quick glance. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-08, and as of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
Fake Ledger Live download pages exploit the fact that every Ledger owner needs desktop software to manage their device. Pages like this one typically do one of two things. They offer a counterfeit installer, or they walk the visitor through a bogus "setup" or "sync" step that asks for the 24-word recovery phrase. Either way, the goal is the seed phrase or control of the computer. Once attackers have the recovery phrase, they can rebuild the wallet on their own device and empty it. The hardware wallet offers no protection at that point, because the secret it guards has been handed over.
Twelve of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-18. They include BitDefender, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Emsisoft, alphaMountain.ai and CyRadar. That is a minority of engines, but the detections come from well-established vendors. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category. It also appears on the MetaMask, SEAL, PhishFeed and PhishDestroy blocklists, which means wallet users and crypto security tooling have it covered from several independent sources.
The site runs as a free subdomain on Cloudflare Pages, created on 2026-08-21. It was detected 18 days later. Traffic resolves through Cloudflare's network with a Canadian geolocation. Free hosting like this lets operators spin up throwaway lookalike pages quickly, without registering a domain of their own. The Google Trust Services certificate is issued automatically to such pages, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is genuine.
Do not download or run anything from this site. If you installed software from it, disconnect the computer from the network, remove the program and scan the machine. Treat any wallet used on that machine as exposed. If you typed your recovery phrase into this page or any app it supplied, assume the wallet is compromised. Set up a fresh wallet with a new recovery phrase and move your remaining funds there immediately. Ledger Live should only ever be downloaded from Ledger's official site, and no legitimate step will ever ask for your 24 words. Defenders should block the domain, watch for similar Ledger-themed subdomains on free hosting platforms, and report the page to Cloudflare for takedown.
