ledgerr-live-web-desktop.pages.dev is a phishing page that impersonates Ledger. The doubled "r" in the name and the "live-web-desktop" wording mimic Ledger Live, the companion app owners use to manage their hardware wallets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-31. Cloudflare has blocked the content, the site has been offline since 2026-09-11, and it was still dead when last checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Fake Ledger Live sites usually claim the wallet needs syncing, repair or verification, or offer a web or desktop version of the app. The victim is then asked to type in the 24-word recovery phrase. Ledger never asks for this phrase online, and anyone who has it can rebuild the wallet and empty every account on it, no matter how securely the physical device is kept. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is the provider's warning page, while our classification is based on the Ledger impersonation the site carried.
Evidence
On 2026-09-11, 14 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They included BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai and CyRadar. That is a modest share of engines, but it covers several major vendors. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict, and its brand match of "genericcloudflare" reflects the Cloudflare block page that replaced the original content. Besides PhishDestroy, the domain appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, both of which focus on crypto threats.
Infrastructure
The project was created on Cloudflare Pages on 2025-09-30, about eleven months before PhishDestroy detected it. Pages subdomains are free and quick to set up, so operators can spin up brand-styled addresses like this one at no cost. The site resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure geolocated in Canada. The same provider later blocked the content, which is why the site went offline.
What to do
If you entered your recovery phrase on this site, treat that wallet as fully compromised. Set up your Ledger with a brand-new phrase and move any remaining funds to it right away, before the attackers do. If you downloaded anything presented as Ledger Live, delete it, scan the machine, and install the app only from Ledger's official source. If you connected a software wallet, review and revoke any token approvals you don't recognize. Defenders should block the full pages.dev hostname, watch for similar Ledger-themed Pages projects, and report new ones to the hosting provider.
