ledgerliivedownload.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page built to look like a download point for Ledger's wallet software. The misspelled "liive" in the name is a typo trick aimed at Ledger hardware wallet owners searching for the companion app. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-08-31. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11, its content is blocked by the hosting provider, and it was still down when last checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Fake Ledger Live download pages usually work in one of two ways. Some deliver a trojanized installer. Others show a page that claims the device needs "recovery" or "verification" and asks for the 24-word recovery phrase. Whoever holds that phrase controls every account the device secures, so the attacker can empty the wallet without ever touching the hardware. The page title currently reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is the provider's block warning rather than a Ledger-branded page. We classify the domain itself as Ledger impersonation.
Evidence
urlscan.io rated the page malicious, and the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists list it alongside PhishDestroy. VirusTotal tells a different story: none of its 89 engines flagged the domain at the check on 2026-09-11, the same day it went offline. Antivirus coverage alone would not have warned anyone. urlscan matched only a generic Cloudflare brand because it saw the provider's block page, not the original Ledger lure.
Infrastructure
The site ran as a free subdomain on Cloudflare Pages. The subdomain was created on 2025-09-17, almost a year before PhishDestroy detected it. It was served from Cloudflare's network with a Canadian IP. Free Pages subdomains like this let operators publish lookalike names quickly and under a trusted parent domain, which helps them avoid suspicion.
What to do
If you typed your recovery phrase into this site or into software downloaded from it, treat the wallet as compromised. Reset the device, create a new phrase, and move any remaining funds to the new accounts immediately. Uninstall anything you downloaded, run a full malware scan, and get Ledger Live only through Ledger's official channels. Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase. If you also connected a software wallet, review and revoke any token approvals you do not recognize. Defenders should block this domain and watch for other misspelled Ledger names on free page-hosting subdomains, since they can reappear under new names.
