ledger-usa-live.pages.dev is a phishing page that impersonates Ledger, the hardware wallet maker, and targets people who own or manage a Ledger device. The "usa-live" naming echoes Ledger Live, the company's companion app, to look like an official regional portal. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-31. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11, and on our last check on 2026-10-19 the hosting provider was still blocking its content.
How the scam works
Ledger impersonation pages usually claim the visitor's device needs a firmware update, a security sync or a wallet verification. The victim is then asked to type in their 24-word recovery phrase. Anyone holding that phrase can rebuild the wallet on their own device and empty it, and the hardware wallet in the victim's drawer offers no protection once the phrase is out. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare". That is the provider's warning screen shown in place of the original Ledger-branded content, not the scam page itself.
Evidence
On 2026-09-13, 13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, ESET, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft and alphaMountain.ai. That is a modest share of engines, but the list includes several major vendors that each reached the verdict on their own. urlscan.io rated the site malicious. Its brand match, "genericcloudflare", reflects the warning page it captured. Beyond PhishDestroy, the domain is listed on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, both of which focus on crypto threats.
Infrastructure
The site sat on a free Cloudflare Pages subdomain, so the operator never had to buy or register a domain of their own. The subdomain dates to 2025-10-17, roughly ten and a half months before PhishDestroy detected it. It resolved to Cloudflare, Inc. address space geolocated to Canada. Cloudflare's own block shows the provider acted on the abuse.
What to do
If you entered your recovery phrase on this site, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a new device or reset your Ledger with a brand-new phrase, then move any remaining funds there immediately, before an attacker does. If you only connected a wallet, review and revoke token approvals you do not recognize. Remember that Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase, whether through a website, app, email or support chat. Defenders should block the domain and other Ledger-themed subdomains on free hosting platforms, and report any active copies to the provider and the crypto blocklists named above.
