ledger-sttartt.pages.dev is a phishing page that impersonates Ledger, the hardware wallet maker, and targets people setting up or managing a Ledger device. The doubled letters in "sttartt" mimic Ledger's onboarding wording, a typo trick meant to slip past a quick glance. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-08-31. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11, Cloudflare has blocked its content, and it was still down when last checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Fake Ledger "start" pages usually copy the official setup flow and then claim the device needs verification, a firmware fix or a wallet restore. The victim is asked to type their 24-word recovery phrase into the site. Anyone holding that phrase can rebuild the wallet on their own device and empty it, so the victim loses every asset tied to that seed. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is the hosting provider's warning screen rather than Ledger-branded content. We classified the site as Ledger impersonation.
Evidence
On 2026-09-11, 13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CyRadar, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft. These are separate vendors reaching the same conclusion on their own. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. The domain also appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users with those protections get a warning before the page loads.
Infrastructure
The page was a free subdomain on Cloudflare Pages, created on 2025-10-13. That is roughly ten and a half months before PhishDestroy flagged it, so the address may have been set up well in advance of the campaign. It resolved to Cloudflare, Inc. network space located in Canada. Hosting on a shared, trusted platform domain lets a throwaway page inherit a clean-looking address and a valid certificate at no cost.
What to do
If you typed your recovery phrase into this site, treat the wallet as compromised. Reset your Ledger, generate a brand-new phrase, and move any remaining funds to the new accounts immediately. If you connected a software wallet or signed anything, revoke token approvals with a trusted approval checker. Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase on any website, app or support chat. Security teams should block this subdomain and watch for similar Ledger lookalikes on free hosting platforms, especially names with doubled or swapped letters.
