ledger--live-uss.pages.dev is a phishing page that impersonates Ledger. The double-hyphen "ledger--live" name is built to pass for the Ledger Live companion app, which puts hardware wallet owners in its sights. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-01. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11 after the hosting provider blocked it, and it was still down at the last check on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Fake Ledger Live sites usually invent a reason to act, such as a security alert, a firmware or app update, or a wallet sync. That pretext leads to a form asking for the 24-word recovery phrase. Ledger never asks for this phrase online. Anyone who has it can rebuild the wallet on another device and empty it, so a hardware wallet offers no protection once the phrase is typed into a website. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is Cloudflare's warning screen and not Ledger-branded content. Our classification is based on the impersonation the site was hosting before that block.
Evidence
On 2026-09-13, 13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the address. They included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. Agreement among that many mainstream security vendors is strong confirmation for a free-hosted page. urlscan.io rated the site malicious, and its only detected brand is generic Cloudflare, which matches the block page that replaced the original content. The domain is also listed by MetaMask and SEAL alongside PhishDestroy.
Infrastructure
The site ran on Cloudflare Pages, a free static-hosting service where anyone can publish a subdomain within minutes. That low barrier is why throwaway Ledger lookalikes show up there. The hostname dates to 2025-10-14, roughly ten and a half months before PhishDestroy detected it. It resolved to Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure geolocated to Canada. Cloudflare took the content down within about ten days of our first sighting.
What to do
If you entered your recovery phrase on this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Set up your Ledger with a brand-new phrase and move any remaining funds there immediately. Do not just reset the device with the old words. If you downloaded anything presented as Ledger Live, uninstall it, run a malware scan, and get the app only from Ledger's official site. If you connected a software wallet, review and revoke any token approvals you granted. Security teams should block the hostname, watch for similar "ledger--live" subdomains on pages.dev, and remind users that no legitimate service ever asks for a seed phrase.
