ledger---l-ive.pages.dev is a phishing page that impersonated Ledger, the hardware wallet maker, and targeted people who keep crypto on Ledger devices. The hyphen-padded name imitates a "Ledger Live" address to catch users looking for the official companion app. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-01. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11, and as of 2026-10-19 the hosting provider is blocking its content.
How the scam works
Fake Ledger pages usually claim there is a firmware problem, a security alert or a required sync. They then ask for the 24-word recovery phrase, presented as a way to "restore" or "verify" the device. Anyone who types that phrase hands the attacker full control of every account derived from it, and the funds can be drained without touching the physical device. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare". That is Cloudflare's own warning interstitial, not Ledger-branded content, and the original lure page has been replaced.
Evidence
14 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain when checked on 2026-09-11, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CyRadar and alphaMountain.ai. That spread of established vendors is meaningful for a free-hosting subdomain. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict, and its brand detection matched only a generic Cloudflare page, consistent with the warning screen. The domain also appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy's own.
Infrastructure
The page sits on Cloudflare Pages, the free static-site service. Anyone can put a convincing brand name in front of the trusted pages.dev suffix there. The subdomain dates to 2025-09-13, almost a year before PhishDestroy flagged it. It resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. network space geolocated to Canada. Ten days after first sighting the provider pulled the content, which is the takedown path for this kind of hosting.
What to do
If you entered a Ledger recovery phrase on this page, treat that wallet as compromised. Set up a new device or reset your current one with a fresh phrase, then move any remaining funds to the new addresses immediately. Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase on a website, in an app or by message, and the official Ledger Live software should only be downloaded from Ledger directly. If you only visited the page without typing anything, no further action is needed. Security teams should block the hostname and watch for lookalike pages.dev subdomains combining "ledger" and "live" with extra hyphens.
