PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ledgeer-live-info.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page. Its name is a typosquat of Ledger Live, with a doubled "e" and an "info" suffix, and its page title, "Hardware Wallet Companion — Getting Started", is written for people setting up a hardware wallet. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-01. On 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

Fake Ledger Live pages usually present themselves as an onboarding or setup guide, which is what a "Getting Started" title promises. The page then steers the visitor into typing the wallet's recovery phrase, or into downloading a fake companion app that asks for it. Whoever holds that phrase can rebuild the wallet on their own device and empty it, so the physical hardware wallet gives no protection once the words are shared. Ledger itself never asks for a recovery phrase on a website or in a pop-up.

Evidence

Antivirus coverage is thin. On 2026-10-15 only 2 of 92 VirusTotal engines, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and LevelBlue, flagged the domain, so most security products would not stop a visitor. Crypto-focused blocklists are stronger: PhishDestroy, MetaMask, SEAL and PhishFeed all list the site. That gives wallet users who rely on MetaMask's warnings or SEAL-fed tools better protection than generic antivirus.

Infrastructure

The site runs as a project on Cloudflare Pages, which gives it a pages.dev subdomain and an automatic certificate without a registered domain of its own. It resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure geolocated in Canada. The project dates to 2025-10-11, nearly eleven months before PhishDestroy detected it, so it was set up well in advance of the activity that got it caught.

What to do

If you typed your recovery phrase into this site or into software it supplied, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a new wallet with a freshly generated phrase on your device and move any remaining funds to it immediately. If you installed anything from the page, uninstall it, scan the computer, and get Ledger Live only from Ledger's official channels. If you connected a software wallet, review and revoke token approvals you do not recognize. Defenders should block this specific pages.dev hostname rather than the whole platform and report the project to Cloudflare for takedown.
