PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ftp.quarkdown.com served a page titled "RAMUAN88 Zone Tempat Bermain Game Slot Online Gacor Terpercaya & Aman", an Indonesian-language pitch for a "trusted and safe" slot-gambling venue. It aimed at players searching for RAMUAN88 or similar "gacor" (hot-paying) slot sites. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-06 and classified it as impersonation phishing. The site has been offline since 2026-09-24, and the root still returned no content at the last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page title advertises an online slot venue, while our classification is impersonation phishing. Pages of this type copy the name and look of a known gambling brand so visitors believe they have reached the real operator. The victim is then asked to register, which hands over a phone number, username and password, and to deposit through bank transfer or e-wallet details shown on the page. Funds sent this way go straight to the operators, and "withdrawals" are usually stalled with demands for extra fees or turnover requirements.

Evidence

On 2026-09-20, five of 89 VirusTotal engines marked the address as malicious: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but these vendors use separate detection pipelines and reached the same verdict independently. Among the blocklists we track, only PhishDestroy lists the domain.

Infrastructure

quarkdown.com was registered through OVH, SAS on 2025-04-30, more than sixteen months before the scam page surfaced on its "ftp" subdomain. The content was delivered from a Fastly, Inc. address in the US. Because of that network, the hosting location says little about where the operators actually are. A free Let's Encrypt certificate supplied the padlock, so the browser showed the page as secure even though the site itself was not trustworthy.

What to do

If you registered on this page, change that password anywhere else you have reused it, and treat the phone number you gave as likely to receive follow-up scam messages. If you sent a deposit, contact your bank or e-wallet provider right away with the transfer details and ask about a reversal. Do not pay any "withdrawal", "verification" or "unlock" fee promised to release winnings. Defenders should block the full hostname and keep watching quarkdown.com for new subdomains, since the parent domain has been registered long enough to host fresh lures.
