Its name promises a paid or premium verified status, which appeals to creators, businesses and page owners who want a verification badge. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-07. The site has been offline since 2026-10-13, and its content was blocked by the provider when last checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Fake verification schemes contact Facebook users, or lure them in, with an offer of a verified or premium badge. The victim is then sent to a page dressed up as Facebook that asks for their login, password and often a two-factor code, supposedly to confirm eligibility. With those credentials the attackers take over the account and can use it to run ads, scam the victim's contacts or resell the page. When last loaded, the page showed the title "Deployment Unavailable," a generic hosting message rather than Facebook branding, while our classification is Facebook impersonation phishing.
Evidence
On 2026-09-17, 15 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They included Google Safe Browsing, BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft and alphaMountain.ai, so the verdict comes from several unrelated security vendors. Google Safe Browsing classifies it as SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, and Spamhaus lists it in its DBL as a phishing domain (DBL_PHISH). It also appears in one AlienVault OTX threat pulse and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-08-20 through Cloudflare, Inc., 18 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of disposable domains bought for a single campaign. The site was hosted on Amazon.com, Inc. infrastructure in the US, and it used a free Let's Encrypt certificate. The padlock icon this certificate produces does nothing to prove the site was legitimate.
What to do
If you entered your Facebook login on this site, change your Facebook password right away. Change it on any other service where you reused that password too. Turn on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app or security key. In Facebook's security settings, check the active sessions and log out any device you don't recognize, and remove unfamiliar admins from your pages and ad accounts. If you lost access, use Facebook's official hacked-account recovery flow, and warn your contacts not to trust messages sent from your account. Defenders should block the domain, search mail and proxy logs for visits since 2026-09-07, and remind staff who manage social accounts that Facebook verification never requires entering a password on an outside site.
