How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the look and language of a legitimate crypto brand or platform so that visitors treat them as the real thing. Victims are then asked to sign in, register, deposit funds or connect a wallet. Whatever they type or approve goes straight to the operators, who can drain balances, take over accounts or collect fake "fees". The page title reads "Welcome to Our Website | cryptotoppro", a generic placeholder rather than a specific brand name. We still classify the site as impersonation phishing.
Evidence
On 2026-09-29, five of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Netcraft and SOCRadar. Netcraft and Forcepoint are established phishing-detection feeds, so their agreement with our classification carries weight. The domain was registered on 2025-10-10 through Global Domain Group LLC, roughly eleven months before PhishDestroy detected it.
