PhishDestroy threat report
crypto-cff.netlify.app is an impersonation phishing page dressed up as a legitimate crypto service and aimed at cryptocurrency and wallet users. It sat on a free Netlify subdomain, a common choice for throwaway lures. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-08. The site went offline on 2026-09-16, and when last checked on 2026-10-19 it was still dead, with nothing served at the root.
Impersonation pages copy the look, wording and branding of a trusted crypto project so visitors believe they are on the real site. The victim is then pushed to connect a wallet, sign a transaction, or type in a seed phrase, private key or login details. Whatever is handed over goes straight to the operator. A recovery phrase or a malicious signature can be enough to empty a wallet, and these transfers usually cannot be reversed.
Wallet-security lists caught this page rather than general antivirus. MetaMask and the SEAL network both block it alongside PhishDestroy, so MetaMask users would have seen a warning before the page loaded. On VirusTotal, only 3 of 89 engines flagged it as of 2026-09-16: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and VIPRE. That low count means most generic scanners would have treated the page as clean.
The operator needed no domain purchase. The page lived on a Netlify subdomain, served from Amazon.com, Inc. infrastructure in the US. Its DigiCert TLS certificate comes from the hosting platform's shared setup, so the browser padlock showed only an encrypted connection and said nothing about whether the site was legitimate. Pages on free hosting like this can be published and abandoned within days, and this one stopped working about a week after we first saw it.
If you entered a seed phrase or private key on this page, treat that wallet as compromised and move any remaining assets to a new wallet created on a clean device. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review the token approvals you granted and revoke them with a reputable approval checker. If you typed in an exchange or account password, change it and reset two-factor authentication. Defenders should block the subdomain, look for other Netlify-hosted lures with similar crypto-themed names, and report new copies to the hosting platform and to wallet blocklists.
