PhishDestroy threat report
aurevex-capital.info is an impersonation phishing site that presents itself as "Aurevex Capital", a name built to sound like an established investment or asset-management firm. It targets people looking for crypto or investment services who may take the polished branding at face value. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-04. On 2026-10-19 the domain was still alive and redirecting visitors elsewhere.
Impersonation pages borrow the look and authority of a financial brand so visitors trust them with account logins, identity details or funds. The page title, "aurevex-capital.info - Home", is a bare default with no product name. That fits a quickly assembled front page rather than a real company portal. The current redirect means the domain can quietly send traffic to whatever page the operators want next. Victims typically lose credentials, personal documents, or money sent as "deposits" they cannot get back.
Nine of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-07. They include Kaspersky, BitDefender, Fortinet, Netcraft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft and alphaMountain.ai, a spread of independent vendors that agree on the verdict. Spamhaus lists it in its Domain Block List under the spam category. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it, so other researchers are tracking it too. It is also on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-29 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown and was caught just five days later. That short gap is typical of throwaway domains stood up for a single campaign. It resolves to 163.61.188.5, an address announced by NEW DHAKA HARDWARE, a Bangladeshi network, though the IP geolocates to the US. A free Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a padlock in the browser, which says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
Do not log in, upload ID documents or send funds to anything reached through this domain. If you entered a password, change it everywhere you reused it and turn on app-based 2FA. If you deposited money, stop further payments, ignore any "unlock" or "withdrawal fee" demands, and report the transfer to your bank or exchange right away. Defenders should block the domain and its IP at DNS and proxy level and add it to mail filters. They should also check logs for users who followed its redirect.
