How the scam works
Fake exchange scams lure victims with promises of AI-driven trading returns, often showing fabricated profit dashboards after an initial deposit to encourage larger follow-up transfers. By trading on the Argent name and framing itself as a trusted platform, argentibitflow.com is positioned to attract users already familiar with legitimate DeFi services. Once a victim deposits cryptocurrency, the funds are simply stolen — withdrawals are blocked, delayed indefinitely, or made conditional on additional payments framed as fees or taxes. The victim loses whatever they deposit, with no real trading ever taking place.
Evidence
Fourteen of 89 security engines on VirusTotal flagged this domain as malicious as of 2026-09-18, with detections from BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, and Bfore.Ai PreCrime. Spamhaus classifies the domain as DBL_SPAM, and it has generated five threat pulses on OTX. PhishDestroy has added it to its blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-05-23 through Dynadot Inc and is hosted on IP 158.94.210.119 within the OMEGATECH-AS Omegatech LTD network based in the Netherlands.
