PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

wholeshop.shop is a phishing page that presents itself as EBC. It targets people who expect to log in to, deposit with or trade through an EBC-branded service. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-15, and it was still online and serving content on 2026-10-19. The domain name suggests a generic online shop, while the page itself is titled EBC, and we classified it as brand impersonation.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the look of a trusted brand so visitors act as they would on the real site. That can mean typing an account password and one-time codes, uploading identity documents, sending a deposit, or approving a wallet connection. Anything entered goes straight to the operators. Stolen logins are used to take over the real account, and funds sent to the fake page are lost.

Evidence

On 2026-09-24, 14 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, CyRadar, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and G-Data. Spamhaus lists it in its DBL under the phishing category. It also appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, two lists focused on crypto threats, which shows wallet users are among its targets. Four AlienVault OTX pulses reference the domain, so other researchers have tracked it independently.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2025-12-30 through GNAME.COM PTE. LTD. and was used for about eight and a half months before PhishDestroy caught it. It sits behind Cloudflare, with an edge address that geolocates to Canada, so the actual origin server is hidden. Its Google Trust Services certificate is issued automatically, which means the browser padlock says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you entered a password or 2FA code here, change it on the genuine EBC service right away, reset any reused passwords, re-enroll 2FA and check for unfamiliar logins or withdrawal addresses. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, revoke the approvals through a token-approval checker and move assets to a fresh wallet if you shared a seed phrase. Do not send further "fees" or deposits, and report any transfers to your bank or exchange. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to mail filters, since it is still live.
