vgguik.com is an impersonation phishing page that dressed itself up as Cloudflare. Its likely targets are site operators and anyone who trusts Cloudflare's branding when it appears in front of a website. PhishDestroy first logged it on 2026-09-03, and by 2026-09-14 it had stopped resolving. The domain was still dead when rechecked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
The page carried the title "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which mimics the warning interstitial Cloudflare shows in front of flagged sites. We classified the page as an impersonation of Cloudflare. Borrowing a security provider's look puts visitors off guard, because a familiar brand makes a follow-up prompt feel legitimate, such as a sign-in or a verification step. What a victim stands to lose in this kind of scheme is whatever the page asks for, most often Cloudflare account credentials. Those credentials give control over DNS, domains and site traffic.
Evidence
13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-15. Among them were Google Safe Browsing, BitDefender, Fortinet, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Ermes and Gridinsoft. Google Safe Browsing labels it SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, the category browsers use to throw a full-page warning at visitors. The domain sits on the PhishDestroy blocklist and appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so researchers outside our project tracked it independently.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Cloudflare, Inc. and served from Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada. That setup put the page on the same platform whose branding it copied. The site lasted about eleven days between our first sighting and going dark. That short lifespan is typical of throwaway phishing domains that get burned once detections pile up.
What to do
If you entered a Cloudflare email and password on this page, change the password from the official dashboard right away and turn on or reset two-factor authentication. Then review active sessions, API tokens and member access, and revoke anything you do not recognize. Check your DNS records, page rules and any Workers for unexpected changes, since an attacker with account access can quietly redirect your traffic. If you reused that password elsewhere, change it on those services too. Defenders should block vgguik.com at DNS and proxy level and add it to mail filters. They should also hunt in logs for earlier visits from their users, and treat unsolicited Cloudflare-branded warning or login pages on unfamiliar domains as hostile.
