How the scam works
Fake support portals catch people when they are already worried about their funds, so victims are quicker to follow instructions. A page like this typically asks for the Kraken email and password, then a 2FA code, which lets the operator log in and empty the account before the victim notices. Some versions also push victims toward a live chat that requests a seed phrase, a remote-access session or a "verification" transfer. Kraken does not run support on lookalike domains, and genuine staff never ask for passwords, 2FA codes or recovery phrases.
Evidence
Six of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-07: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and VIPRE. That is a modest count, but it comes from vendors that work independently of each other. The domain is also on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy, and Spamhaus lists it in its DBL as spam. Two AlienVault OTX pulses reference it, so other researchers have tracked it as well.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-10-03 through NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED, just four days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap fits a site built for a fast campaign. Traffic runs through Cloudflare, Inc. at 104.21.92.104, geolocated to Canada, and the Cloudflare layer hides the actual origin server. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives the browser padlock, which shows only that the connection is encrypted and says nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
If you entered Kraken credentials here, change your password right away from the official Kraken app or site. Reset 2FA, end all active sessions and check for new API keys, withdrawal addresses or withdrawals you did not make. If you shared a seed phrase or allowed remote access, assume the affected wallets and devices are compromised. Move any remaining funds to a new wallet and contact Kraken support through its official channels.
