PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

sayasolana.live is an airdrop scam that posed as a Solana token giveaway to lure Solana wallet holders into connecting their wallets. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-27, one day after the domain was registered. The site has been offline since 2026-09-28, and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19. Similar pages often reappear under new domains, so the scheme remains relevant even with this domain down.

How the scam works

The page, titled "Paid | AirDrop", presented itself as a claim portal for free Solana tokens. Visitors were prompted to connect a wallet and approve a transaction to collect their reward. Behind the page sat the Solana Drainer kit, which disguises malicious transactions as harmless claim requests. A single signature can hand the attacker control over SOL, SPL tokens and NFTs, which are then swept out of the wallet. Stolen assets typically leave within seconds and cannot be reversed.

Evidence

VirusTotal coverage was minimal: only 1 of 91 engines, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, flagged the domain when checked on 2026-09-27. Crypto-focused defenses were far quicker. Beyond PhishDestroy, the domain appears on the MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL blocklists. It is also referenced in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, showing that several independent researchers tracked it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-26 through PDR Ltd. d/b/a PublicDomainRegistry.com. It resolved to 188.114.96.3 on Cloudflare, Inc.'s network, geolocated to Canada, which means the origin server sat behind Cloudflare's proxy. The site used a Let's Encrypt certificate issued by YE2, so the browser padlock offered no assurance of legitimacy.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to this site and signed anything, assume the wallet is compromised. Move any remaining assets to a new wallet created with a fresh seed phrase, and stop using the old address. Review and revoke any token delegations or approvals you granted using a trusted Solana wallet tool. If you typed your seed phrase anywhere on the page, treat every account derived from it as lost and migrate immediately. Defenders should block the domain and its IP, add it to wallet and browser protections, and watch for lookalike airdrop domains that reuse the same "Paid | AirDrop" template.
