PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

revonexdb.com is an impersonation phishing page. It presented itself as "Revonex Digital | Secure Financial Platform" and was built to look like an online banking or investment service. It targeted people looking for a place to manage or grow their money online. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-28. The site has been offline since 2026-10-07, and its DNS was still inactive on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Pages like this copy the look of a legitimate financial service, with talk of security, a login form and account dashboards. Victims who sign up or log in hand over their email, password and often identity or banking details, which the operators can reuse against real accounts. Fake financial platforms commonly also push "deposits" into an account balance that can never be withdrawn. Scanners matched this page to a generic banking template rather than a single named bank.

Evidence

On 2026-10-02, 10 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They included alphaMountain.ai, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Lionic, Netcraft and Google Safe Browsing. The Google Safe Browsing listing means Chrome and other browsers that use it would have shown a warning. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and identified the generic banking lure. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses alongside the PhishDestroy blocklist entry.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-25 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, only three days before PhishDestroy caught it. It ran from the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network on a US-located address and stayed live for roughly a week and a half before going dark. That short registration-to-takedown window is typical of throwaway phishing domains that are swapped out once they get flagged.

What to do

If you entered a password on this site, change it immediately on every service where you reuse it, and turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you shared card, bank or ID details, contact your bank to freeze or reissue cards and watch your statements closely. If you deposited money, report it to your bank or payment provider and to police, and ignore any later demands for "fees" to release funds. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting address, then search proxy and DNS logs for any visits since 2026-09-25.
