How the scam works
Fake banking portals like this are usually reached through texts or emails warning of a locked account, a suspicious transfer or a required verification. Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-22 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown. It was flagged seven days later, a short gap typical of disposable phishing domains set up for a single campaign. It was hosted at 198.251.81.188 on FranTech Solutions in the US. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gave the page a browser padlock, which shows the connection was encrypted, not that the site was trustworthy.
What to do
