How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the look, wording and login flow of a brand people already trust. A visitor who arrives from a search ad, direct message or lookalike link believes they are on the real site. They type in a password, a one-time code or a wallet recovery phrase, and whatever they submit goes straight to the operators. With that, the operators can take over accounts and empty wallets. The page title currently reads "Just a moment...", which is a generic browser-check screen rather than branded content, while we classify the site as impersonation phishing.
Evidence
On 2026-10-16, four of 92 VirusTotal engines marked the domain as malicious: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is low coverage, so most security products would still let a visitor through without a warning. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist carrying it so far. The domain appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers are tracking it independently.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Namecheap on 2025-12-31, more than nine months before we detected it on 2026-10-08. A domain that sits unused for that long before going live suggests it was registered in advance and held until needed. Traffic runs through Cloudflare's network, with the address geolocated to Canada, so the real origin server is hidden behind the proxy. The site uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, which means the padlock in the address bar says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
If you entered a password on noxcc.cc, change it on the genuine service right away. Reset two-factor authentication, sign out of all active sessions and check for unfamiliar logins or changed withdrawal settings. If you typed in a wallet recovery phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised: create a new wallet and move any remaining funds to it immediately. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and search their logs for past visits. Reporting it to Cloudflare and Namecheap helps get the domain taken down before it is reused.
