Overview

mailer3-shamsfx.com is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as "Dubai Chamber FX", a supposed service for cross-border supplier payments aimed at Dubai's traders. It borrows the standing of the Dubai Chamber name to look like an official, chamber-backed payment channel for importers and exporters. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-05. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and redirecting visitors.

How the scam works

The pitch targets businesses that regularly settle invoices with foreign suppliers. It promises a trusted, chamber-affiliated way to move money abroad at good FX rates. Schemes of this kind typically steer victims into wiring supplier payments to accounts the operators control. They may also collect business banking logins, trade licences and company documents during a fake onboarding. A single redirected payment can mean losing the full invoice value, and the stolen paperwork can be reused for further fraud against the company or its partners.

Evidence

Six of 89 engines on VirusTotal flagged the domain as of 2026-09-12: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is modest, so many security tools will not block it yet. Spamhaus DBL lists the domain as a spam source, which fits a name beginning with "mailer3" and points to email as a likely lure. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-08-21 through Fewmoretaps OU d/b/a Trustname.com, just 15 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap between registration and active use is typical of a site built for a fraud campaign rather than a real financial business. It is hosted on Amazon cloud infrastructure in Germany, a long way from the Dubai trading community it targets. Its padlock comes from a free automated Let's Encrypt certificate, which only shows that the connection is encrypted and says nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

If you sent a supplier payment through this site, contact your bank at once to request a recall, and report the transfer to the police. Confirm your suppliers' real account details through a contact channel you already trust. If you entered online banking or email credentials, change those passwords, turn on two-factor authentication and review recent account activity. If you uploaded company documents, alert your bank and trading partners that they may be misused. Defenders should block the domain at DNS, proxy and email gateways, and search mail logs for messages linking to it, given its spam listing.
