Overview

mail.novalink.markets is a "mail" subdomain on a .markets domain that PhishDestroy classifies as an impersonation phishing page aimed at crypto users. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-10. As of 2026-10-19 the host was still reachable, but DNS for its content was inactive, so the page is not currently served the way it was when it was caught.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages borrow the name, look or context of a service people already trust. They then ask visitors to log in, verify an account or connect a wallet, and anything entered goes to the operator. A mail-style subdomain on a markets-themed name fits that pattern: it invites people to believe they are on a legitimate trading or account portal. When last captured, the page title read "Default Web Site Page," a generic server placeholder that differs from the impersonation content behind our classification.

Evidence

Independent support is thin but real. On 2026-09-20, 4 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Chong Lua Dao, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and SOCRadar. That low count means most security tools will not warn a visitor, so a clean result from a browser or antivirus does not make this site safe. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist carrying it so far.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through NameCheap, Inc. on 2025-08-31, almost a year before PhishDestroy detected it. Domains are often registered early and left unused before a campaign starts. It is hosted on Namecheap, Inc. infrastructure in the US, so registration and hosting sit with the same provider. Its Sectigo DV certificate only proves control of the domain, so the padlock says nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

If you typed a password, email login or exchange credentials here, change them right away. Change them anywhere else you reuse them, then turn on app-based two-factor authentication and check for unfamiliar sessions or forwarding rules. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, revoke token approvals with a trusted approval checker and move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you shared a seed phrase. Defenders should block the domain and its parent at DNS and proxy level and search mail and web logs for earlier contact. Because the content could return while the host stays up, keep the block in place.
