PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

This address is an impersonation phishing page served through arweave.net, a public gateway to the Arweave permanent-storage network. The long, random-looking subdomain points to a single piece of uploaded content. Crypto-focused blocklists flag it, so its likely targets are crypto users who believe they are on a legitimate service. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-17, and it was still online with live content on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the look of a trusted brand or service. The victim then signs in, enters a recovery phrase or connects a wallet on the copy instead of the real site. Whatever the victim submits goes to the operator, who can use it to take over accounts or empty wallets. The page title shows only "Loading…", a generic placeholder that names no brand, although we classify the page as impersonation. Hosting phishing on a decentralized storage gateway lets operators borrow a well-known domain name and slows removal.

Evidence

On 2026-10-01, 5 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the page: ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and VIPRE. That is a small share of engines. ChainPatrol specializes in Web3 threats, and its detection supports reading this as crypto phishing. ScamSniffer, a wallet-security blocklist, also lists the page, alongside PhishDestroy.

Infrastructure

The 2018-01-25 registration date and the NameCheap, Inc. registrar belong to the arweave.net gateway domain, not to the scammer. The page is user-uploaded content that runs on an established, legitimate domain. Requests resolve to 79.127.211.89 on the Datacamp Limited network in Germany. The Let's Encrypt certificate covers the gateway, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the content is honest.

What to do

Do not enter anything on this page. If you typed a password there, change it on the genuine service and turn on two-factor authentication. If you entered a seed phrase, treat the wallet as compromised and move your funds to a new wallet right away. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review and revoke token approvals with a trusted approval checker. Defenders should block this specific subdomain rather than all of arweave.net, add it to wallet and browser blocklists, and report the content to the Arweave gateway operators.
