Overview

instanderapps.com is an impersonation phishing page posing as a download portal for Instander, a modified Instagram client distributed as an Android APK. It targets Android users searching for the latest build, with the page title promising "Instander APK Download Latest v19.0 For Android 2026". PhishDestroy first saw the domain on 2026-10-15. As of 2026-10-19 the site was alive and its content was live.

How the scam works

Sites in this category borrow a well-known app name and a convincing version number so that search results and shared links look like a legitimate download source. The visitor is pushed to sideload an APK from outside any official store, which bypasses the review and signing checks that would normally catch tampered code. A repackaged installer can capture the Instagram username and password entered at login, hijack the session, or bundle adware and other unwanted components. The victim risks losing control of their social media account and exposing their Android device.
