inspiring-kheer-6a8642.netlify.app is a phishing page that imitates Netflix and targets its subscribers. It was hosted on a free Netlify subdomain. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-11, and it went offline on 2026-09-12, roughly a day later. When we checked again on 2026-10-19, the site was still dead and its root served no content. The page carried the title "Netflix Clone", which reads like a developer project, but its behavior and the vendor detections led us to classify it as impersonation.
How the scam works
Netflix lookalikes usually arrive through emails or texts claiming a payment failed or the account is on hold. The link leads to a copy of the Netflix sign-in screen. Victims who type their email and password hand them straight to the operator. Many of these pages then ask the victim to "update billing", which also exposes card numbers, expiry dates and security codes. Stolen streaming logins are resold or used to try the same password on email and banking accounts.
Evidence
17 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-09-11, the same day we caught it. The flagging vendors included BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Emsisoft and alphaMountain.ai. Google Safe Browsing marked it as SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, its category for deceptive login pages. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and independently detected the Netflix brand on the page. The domain is also listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The site was not a registered domain. It was a randomly named subdomain on Netlify, a free deployment platform that lets anyone publish a page in minutes, which suits short-lived phishing. Traffic was served from Amazon.com, Inc. infrastructure in Germany. The DigiCert TLS certificate is the platform's own, so the browser padlock said nothing about whether the page was legitimate.
What to do
If you entered your Netflix login, change the password now and use Netflix's option to sign out of all devices. Then change the same password on any other account where you reused it, starting with your email. If you gave card details, contact your bank to block or reissue the card and watch for small test charges. Defenders should block this exact subdomain rather than all of netlify.app, and search mail logs for links to it from around 2026-09-11.
