PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

growlances.site is an impersonation phishing page that presented itself to visitors under the name "Growlances." PhishDestroy flagged it on 2026-09-14, one day after the domain was registered. The site went offline on 2026-09-15, and on 2026-10-19 its DNS was still inactive, so the page no longer resolves. Anyone who received a link to it in the days around mid-September 2026 should treat that contact as hostile.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages borrow the name and look of a service the target expects to trust, here branded "Growlances," so the victim lowers their guard and acts as if dealing with the real thing. The usual goal is to collect account logins, personal details or payments through forms that resemble a legitimate sign-in, registration or checkout. What the victim loses depends on what they typed in. That can mean a hijacked account, exposed personal data, or money sent to the operators with no service behind it.

Evidence

Independent detection was thin while the site was live. On 2026-09-14 only Fortinet, out of 89 VirusTotal engines, flagged the domain. That low count reflects how quickly the page appeared and vanished, not a clean bill of health. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as a spam domain, which points to the domain being pushed through unsolicited messages. PhishDestroy carries it on its own blocklist.

Infrastructure

The timeline is the clearest signal. The domain was registered on 2026-09-13, active and detected the next day, and dark by 2026-09-15. A lifespan of roughly two days fits a disposable domain bought for a single campaign. It was registered through Global Domain Group LLC and hosted on the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network in the US.

What to do

If you entered a password on this page, change it right away on the genuine service and anywhere you reused it, then turn on two-factor authentication. If you submitted card or bank details or made a payment, contact your bank to block the card and dispute the charge. Watch for follow-up emails or messages that use the Growlances name, since operators often recontact victims with new lures.
