PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

fxnt.vexotra.com was an impersonation phishing page hosted on a subdomain and presented under the title "Remedy". The page title does not name a recognizable brand, but PhishDestroy classified the site as impersonation: it copied the look of a legitimate service to win visitors' trust. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-23. The site went offline on 2026-09-26, and its DNS was still inactive when we last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages work by borrowing a trusted identity. The victim lands on what appears to be a familiar service, here branded only as "Remedy", and is asked to sign in, verify an account or submit personal details. Everything typed into the form goes straight to the operators. They use it to take over the real account, resell the data, or run follow-up scams against the same person. The short lifespan fits this model: these pages are built to harvest as much as possible before they get blocked.

Evidence

Eleven of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-02. Several of those are major security vendors, including BitDefender, ESET, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Netcraft and alphaMountain.ai. That level of agreement among unrelated vendors is a strong signal for a site that was only live for a few days. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as a spam source, so it was also being promoted through unsolicited messages. PhishDestroy lists it on its own blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-17 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown. It was serving phishing content within six days, a typical pattern for a domain registered purely for a campaign. It was hosted on the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network in the United States. The site used a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock only meant the connection was encrypted, not that the site was genuine.

What to do

If you entered a password on this page, change it right away on the real service and on any other account that shares it. Then turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you shared personal or payment details, alert your bank or the affected provider. Expect targeted follow-up messages that reference the "Remedy" page, and treat them as phishing. Defenders should block fxnt.vexotra.com and watch for other subdomains of vexotra.com. They should also search DNS and proxy logs for past connections to 163.61.188.5 to find users who may have submitted data.
