PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ftnskins.com is an impersonation phishing site. It poses as a legitimate service, and its name plays on "skins", the common term for cosmetic items in online games. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-06. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the server was still answering, but DNS for the page content was inactive, so the domain could be reactivated at any time.

How the scam works

Impersonation sites copy the look and wording of a trusted brand, then ask visitors to sign in, link an account or pay for something that never arrives. Whatever is typed in goes to the operators: usernames, passwords, one-time codes or card details. They can then take over the account and sell or strip its items and balances. The page title currently shows only "Loading", even though the site is classified as impersonation phishing.

Evidence

Seven of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-10: alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a minority of engines, but it is a mix of independent vendors, including predictive scanners. Spamhaus lists the domain on its DBL as a spam domain. It also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tied it to malicious activity as well.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. on 2026-09-07, about a month before PhishDestroy detected it. That fits the short turnaround typical of throwaway phishing domains. It is hosted on IP 46.29.26.38, which geolocates to Finland, on a network registered to M/S Robi Traders in Bangladesh. A free Let's Encrypt certificate gives the site a padlock in the browser. The padlock says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you entered a username and password here, change that password right away, plus any other account where you reused it. Enable app-based two-factor authentication and sign out all active sessions from the real service's security settings. If you gave card or payment details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any charges. Treat any follow-up messages offering skins, giveaways or "account verification" as part of the same scam. Defenders should block the domain and its IP at DNS and proxy level, search logs for earlier visits, and warn users who arrived through gaming chats, Discord servers or social media links.
