How the scam works
Account-value checkers are a common lure in gaming phishing. The site promises a free estimate of your locker, then asks you to sign in with your Epic Games account to "verify" it. Anything typed into that login goes to the operators, not to Epic. A stolen Epic account can be emptied of V-Bucks, its rare cosmetics resold, and any linked payment method or connected console accounts abused. Victims often lose access entirely once the attacker changes the email and password.
Evidence
urlscan.io rated the page malicious and recognised Epic Games branding on it, which matches our classification. On 2026-09-30, 7 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and SOCRadar.
