PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

fortdm.com is an impersonation phishing site that copies a legitimate service to win the trust of crypto and wallet users. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-06, and it was still online and serving content when we last checked on 2026-10-19. The page title reads "Your IP is blocked — SilkGuard," which shows an access-denied notice, while our classification of the domain is impersonation phishing.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages borrow the look and wording of a service the victim already trusts, then ask for the details that service would normally hold, such as login credentials, one-time codes, or wallet recovery phrases. A fake security or blocking notice like the "SilkGuard" message in the title can push visitors to "verify" themselves or appeal the block, and that step is where the data is collected. Anything typed into the page goes straight to the operator. A stolen password can lead to account takeover, and a recovery phrase hands over full control of a wallet and every asset in it.

Evidence

Six of 92 engines on VirusTotal flagged the domain on 2026-10-06: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, ESET, Fortinet, LevelBlue and Webroot. That is a modest count, but it comes from several unrelated vendors, so the detection does not rest on a single source. Spamhaus also lists the domain in its DBL with a spam classification, which is a separate reputation signal from the phishing verdicts. PhishDestroy carries it on its own blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-23 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, only 13 days before we detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway domains bought for a single campaign. It resolves to 46.29.26.38 on the MSROBITRADERS-AS-AP network (M/S Robi Traders, Bangladesh), and the address geolocates to Finland. Its free Let's Encrypt certificate gives the browser padlock and says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you entered a password on fortdm.com, change it right away on the real service and on any other account that uses the same password. Then turn on app-based 2FA and review recent sign-ins. If you typed a wallet recovery phrase or private key, consider that wallet compromised: create a new wallet on a clean device and move your remaining funds there immediately. Do not follow any appeal, unblock or verification steps the site offers. Security teams should block the domain and 46.29.26.38 at DNS and proxy level and check logs for users who visited after 2026-09-23.
