conneccttipssecurity.live is an impersonation phishing page built to pass as connectIPS, the Nepali interbank payment service that people use to move money straight from their bank accounts. The misspelled name, with a doubled "c", an extra "t" and the word "security" tacked on, is meant to look like an official support or verification address. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-03. As of 2026-10-19 the domain is still alive and serving a redirect.
How the scam works
The page carries the title "Access Restricted — connectIPS". That matches a common bank-phishing script: tell the victim their account is locked, then send them to a lookalike login to "restore access". Anyone who follows it is asked for their connectIPS username, password and usually the one-time codes sent by SMS or email. With those, attackers can sign in as the victim, link or use their bank accounts, and push transfers out before the owner notices.
Evidence
Seven of 92 VirusTotal engines flag the domain as of 2026-10-09: BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and URLQuery. That is a minority, but it comes from independent vendors, and coverage of a newly registered phishing domain usually starts thin. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers are tracking it. PhishDestroy lists it on its blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Name.com, Inc. on 2026-10-01, and PhishDestroy caught it two days later. That short gap fits a site set up for a quick campaign. It resolves to 216.150.1.193 on Amazon.com, Inc. network space in the US. The site has a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted. It does not mean the site belongs to connectIPS.
What to do
If you entered your connectIPS login on this site, change your password right away from the official app or the address you normally type. Then contact your bank and connectIPS support to have them check for and block unauthorized transfers or newly linked accounts. Do not share any OTP that arrives unexpectedly, and check recent transaction history on every linked bank account. Security teams should block the domain and its IP and watch for similar typosquats combining "connectips" with words like "security" or "verify". They should also report the site to the registrar and hosting provider for takedown.
