Overview

askandemblashop.shop is a fraudulent online store dressed up as a jewelry boutique, with the page title "Jewelry for the soul | Ask". It targets online shoppers looking for gift or fashion jewelry, especially those drawn in by social media ads or unusually low prices. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-07. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its storefront.

How the scam works

Fake shops like this copy the look of a real boutique, with soft branding, a poetic tagline and product photos often lifted from legitimate sellers. Deep discounts and countdown timers push visitors to check out quickly. The victim pays by card or another method and then receives nothing, or receives a cheap item that bears no resemblance to the listing. The checkout also captures the shopper's name, address, email, phone number and payment details, which can be reused for fraud or follow-up phishing.

Evidence

On 2026-10-11, 8 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, Netcraft and SOCRadar. That count is modest, but it is typical for a young shop scam and comes from several unrelated vendors. urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically identified it as a fake shop. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, and PhishDestroy lists it on its blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-05-21, about four and a half months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits a domain that was held or warmed up before being put to work. The site runs on IP 62.106.90.244, on a network operated by Malakmadze Web LLC, which is registered in Georgia, while the address itself geolocates to the United States. Its Let's Encrypt certificate only provides the padlock icon and says nothing about whether the store is legitimate.
