How the scam works
Ledger impersonation pages typically copy the look of official support or setup screens. They claim the device needs a firmware update, a security check or wallet recovery. The victim is then asked to type their 24-word recovery phrase into a web form. Anyone who holds that phrase can rebuild the wallet on their own device and empty it, and no hardware PIN can stop them. The "ap-" prefix in front of the brand name is a common trick to make the address look like an official subdomain or regional portal.
Evidence
On 2026-10-07, 11 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The vendors include BitDefender, ESET, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Ermes and Gridinsoft. urlscan.io gave a malicious verdict and specifically detected Ledger branding on the page. Wallet-focused blocklists also list it, including MetaMask and SEAL alongside PhishDestroy. The domain appears in 7 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so several separate analysts have tracked it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-28 through Hosting Concepts B.V. d/b/a Registrar.eu. It reached our blocklist just six days later, a short gap typical of throwaway phishing domains. It sits behind Cloudflare's network in the US at 172.67.163.150, which hides the origin server. Its free Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a browser padlock, which proves only an encrypted connection, not that the site is genuine.
What to do
If you entered your recovery phrase on this site, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a new wallet with a new phrase on your Ledger and move any remaining funds there immediately. Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase online, by email or through support chat, so never type it into a website.
