PhishDestroy threat report
usdc688.com is an impersonation phishing site whose name trades on USDC, the dollar stablecoin, and is aimed at people who hold or trade it. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-09. It went offline on 2026-10-14, and when checked on 2026-10-19 it was still dead, with its content blocked by the provider.
Sites like this pose as a legitimate USDC service, such as a staking pool, earning program or trading platform, to borrow the trust attached to a well-known stablecoin. Victims are then pushed to deposit USDC, connect a wallet, or enter login details, and anything sent or authorised goes straight to the operators. The browser title read "onkeyon," which names no crypto brand, while we classified the site as USDC-themed impersonation. The numeric suffix in the domain is a common pattern among mass-produced crypto lure sites.
Independent detection is thin. On 2026-10-13, VirusTotal showed 2 of 92 engines flagging the domain, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and LevelBlue, so most scanners would have let it through. Among blocklists, only PhishDestroy lists it. The domain does appear in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which links it to activity other researchers have tracked.
The domain was registered on 2025-11-09 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd., about eleven months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was either held in reserve or ran quietly before drawing attention. It sat behind Cloudflare's network on address 172.67.215.47, geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server. Its certificate from Google Trust Services (WE1) was automatically issued, so the browser padlock said nothing about whether the site was legitimate.
If you sent USDC or other funds to this site, treat them as lost to the operators. Do not pay any "unlock," "verification" or "withdrawal" fee you are later asked for, because that is a standard second-stage theft. If you connected a wallet, revoke any token approvals granted during that session and move remaining assets to a fresh wallet if you signed anything unfamiliar. If you entered a password or exchange login, change it and turn on two-factor authentication. Security teams should block usdc688.com and watch for lookalike USDC domains with numeric suffixes, since low vendor coverage means automated filters may miss them.
