PhishDestroy threat report
tearns-invite.co is a phishing page that impersonates Microsoft, presenting itself as "Microsoft Outlook - Meeting Invitation." The domain plays on Microsoft Teams: the letters "rn" sit where the "m" should be, which is hard to spot in an email client or a narrow browser bar. It targets office workers who receive meeting invites through Microsoft 365. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-06, and it was still online with its content live on 2026-10-19.
The victim usually gets an email or chat message saying they have been invited to a meeting, with a button to view or accept it. The link opens a page styled as an Outlook invitation. Before the meeting details appear, the page asks the victim to sign in with their Microsoft account. Whatever is typed into that form goes to the operators, giving them access to the victim's mailbox and often to OneDrive, Teams and any other services tied to the same Microsoft identity. Stolen work accounts are commonly used to send the same lure to the victim's contacts or to set up invoice and payment fraud.
Fifteen of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-15, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and CyRadar. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and identified Microsoft branding on the page. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category. It also appears on the PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, and is referenced in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses. Several independent sources have reached the same conclusion, which leaves little doubt about the classification.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-03 through Hosting Concepts B.V. (Registrar.eu), only three days before PhishDestroy caught it. That short gap points to a domain created specifically for this campaign. The site sits behind Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server. Its Google Trust Services certificate means the padlock icon appears as usual, so the padlock tells visitors nothing about whether the page is legitimate.
If you entered your Microsoft password on this page, change it immediately from the real Microsoft account portal. Then sign out all active sessions and check that your two-factor authentication methods have not been changed. Review your mailbox for new forwarding rules or inbox filters, and warn your contacts not to trust recent meeting invites sent from your address. Report the incident to your IT or security team so they can check sign-in logs for unusual locations. Defenders should block the domain at email and web gateways and search mail logs for messages containing it. They should also remind staff that genuine Teams and Outlook invites never require a separate login on an outside site.
