PhishDestroy threat report
spotfjfhh-crypto.github.io was an impersonation phishing page hosted as a GitHub Pages project. urlscan.io identified it as imitating AR24, the electronic registered-mail service, so it targeted people who expect official notices or documents through that brand. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-07. It went offline on 2026-09-11 and was still dead at the last check on 2026-10-19.
Pages like this copy the look of a trusted service and wait for a victim to arrive, usually through a link in an email that claims a registered letter or document is waiting. The victim is asked to sign in or confirm identity details to view it. Whatever they type, such as email, password or personal information, goes to the operator. That access can then be used to take over the account or to send more convincing follow-up fraud. The page now shows GitHub's default "Site not found" title, which means the project content has been removed, while our impersonation classification reflects the content detected before it went down.
On 2026-09-11, 14 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the site, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Emsisoft, alphaMountain.ai and Criminal IP. Several of these are major commercial engines whose verdicts feed browser and endpoint protection, so their agreement carries real weight. urlscan.io independently rated the page malicious and matched it to the AR24 brand. PhishDestroy lists the domain on its blocklist.
The operator did not register a domain. They used a free GitHub Pages subdomain, which inherits GitHub's name, its automatic HTTPS and the Fastly content network in the US. This setup costs nothing and can be created and abandoned within minutes. Here the site was live for only about four days after PhishDestroy first saw it.
If you entered AR24 or email credentials on this page, change that password right away. Change it anywhere else you reused it, turn on two-factor authentication, and review recent logins and mail-forwarding rules. Treat any further "registered letter" messages with suspicion, and open AR24 only by typing its address yourself. Defenders should block the hostname, search mail logs for links to it around 2026-09-07 to 2026-09-11, and reset credentials for any users who clicked through.
