PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

sovereignchainnetwork.com presents itself under the name "Sovereign Legacy" while using a domain styled to sound like an established blockchain network. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page that borrows a legitimate-sounding crypto identity to win the trust of investors and wallet users. We first flagged it on 2026-10-07. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages like this copy the look, language and promises of a real or plausible crypto project so that visitors drop their guard. The "Sovereign Legacy" branding and the chain-network domain give the page an official feel. From there, these schemes typically push the visitor to connect a wallet, type in a recovery phrase or private key, sign in with account credentials, or send a deposit. Whatever is entered goes straight to the operators, and funds sent or keys exposed are usually lost for good.

Evidence

On 2026-10-11, 6 of 92 VirusTotal engines marked the domain as malicious: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and desenmascara.me. That is a modest count, but six unrelated vendors converging on a domain only two weeks old is a meaningful early signal. Most engines had not caught up yet, so a clean result from any single scanner should not be read as reassurance. The domain is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-27 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, just ten days before we detected it. That short gap fits a site built for a quick campaign rather than a long-running project. It is hosted at 91.230.49.19 on the SpectraIP B.V. network in the Netherlands. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a browser padlock, which only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the operator is honest.

What to do

Do not connect a wallet, enter credentials or send money on this site. If you typed a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and move any remaining assets to a new wallet created on a clean device. If you connected a wallet and signed anything, review and revoke token approvals with a trusted approval-checker. If you reused a password there, change it everywhere and turn on 2FA. Security teams should block the domain and its IP and watch for lookalike "Sovereign" chain domains.
