PhishDestroy threat report
lockfn.pro presented itself as "Fortnite — Inventory Checker," a tool that promises to show or value a player's locker of skins and items. It impersonates Fortnite and targets players, especially those with rare or valuable cosmetics. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-06. The site has been offline since 2026-10-17 and its DNS was still inactive when last checked on 2026-10-19.
Fake inventory checkers lure players with the chance to see what their locker is worth, then ask them to sign in with their Epic Games account to "load" it. Whatever goes into that login form, including the email, password and any one-time 2FA code, goes straight to the operators. With those credentials they can take over the account, change its recovery details and lock the owner out. Accounts with rare skins are typically resold, and any stored V-Bucks or linked payment methods are abused.
Six of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-10: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is modest coverage, so many browsers and filters would not have warned visitors. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam. Three AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it, which means other researchers have tied it to malicious activity independently of PhishDestroy.
The domain was registered on 2026-07-14 through Global Domain Group LLC, almost three months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap leaves room for quiet promotion through game communities, Discord or social media before anyone notices. It was hosted at 46.29.26.38 on a network registered to M/S Robi Traders of Bangladesh, while the IP geolocates to Finland. The Let's Encrypt certificate only means the connection was encrypted. The padlock said nothing about who ran the page.
If you entered your Epic Games login on this site, change your password right away from the official Epic website, and change it anywhere else you reused it. Then turn on or reset two-factor authentication and sign out of all sessions. Review your account's email, linked consoles and purchase history, and contact Epic support if you notice changes or lost items. Check that no external accounts were connected that you do not recognize. Defenders should block lockfn.pro and watch for lookalike "inventory checker" or "locker" domains aimed at gamers.
