inksyncmac.com is a phishing page that impersonates Apple. It targets Mac and iPad owners who want to use an Apple Pencil on their desktop. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-16, three days after the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site is still online and serving its content.
How the scam works
The page is titled "Ink Sync — Annotate Your Mac Screen with Apple Pencil from iPad" and presents itself as a polished utility built on Apple's ecosystem. That title describes a productivity app, but we classify the site as Apple impersonation phishing. Pages like this borrow Apple's name, design language and product terms to look official. They then push visitors to download an installer, sign in with an Apple ID, or hand over payment or personal details. Victims can lose their Apple account credentials or install software that does not come from Apple, which can compromise the whole machine.
Evidence
Independent detection is thin so far. VirusTotal returned 0 detections out of 92 engines on 2026-10-16, so no antivirus vendor flagged the domain at that point. PhishDestroy is currently the only blocklist listing it. The domain does appear in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers are tracking it. A clean VirusTotal result on a days-old domain is common and does not mean the site is safe.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-10-13 through the registrar Gransy, s.r.o. It resolves to 166.117.93.67 on Amazon.com, Inc. infrastructure in the United States. Its TLS certificate was issued by Let's Encrypt (YE2), so browsers show a padlock even though the content is deceptive.
What to do
Do not download or run any software offered by this site. If you already installed something from it, remove it and run a full malware scan. If you entered your Apple ID here, change the password at once from Apple's official settings. Then review your trusted devices and enable two-factor authentication if it is not already on. Check your card statements if you entered payment details. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP at the DNS and proxy level and add it to phishing filters. They should also report it to the hosting provider and registrar for takedown.
