Overview

PhishDestroy’s automated assessment classified hyperliquid-eth.com as an impersonation phishing page. The recorded page title is “Hyperliquid | DEX” and the excerpt references Hyperliquid’s features, indicating an attempt to appear as the official exchange. The domain was first seen by PhishDestroy on 2026-10-21 and returned an HTTP 200 response at that time.

How the scam works

Impersonation phishing sites copy the branding, design and terminology of a legitimate service to lure visitors into entering login credentials or connecting cryptocurrency wallets. By presenting themselves as the authentic Hyperliquid platform, they aim to harvest authentication data that can be used for unauthorized account access or fund transfers.

Evidence

VirusTotal scanned the domain on 2026-10-21 and reported four detections across 92 engines, with two labeling it malicious and two as suspicious; vendors included Forcepoint ThreatSeeker (phishing), Fortinet (spam), SOCRadar (suspicious) and VIPRE (malware). An earlier VirusTotal check on 2026-10-20 recorded no detections. Google Safe Browsing checked on 2026-10-21 did not flag the site. urlscan captured the site on 2026-10-21, its machine‑learning engine marked it malicious with a score of 99 while the overall verdict was non‑malicious. Spamhaus DBL listed the domain as spam on 2026-10-21, and OTX recorded four pulses referencing it on the same date. PhishDestroy’s internal blocklist also contains the domain as of 2026-10-21.

Infrastructure
