PhishDestroy threat report
gambwix.com is an impersonation phishing page: a site built to pass itself off as a legitimate service so visitors trust it with their logins, wallet access or money. Its listing on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists places it squarely in the crypto space, aimed at wallet users. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-07-30. The site has been dead since 2026-09-13 and was still unreachable when last checked on 2026-10-19.
Impersonation pages copy the look, wording and flow of a brand people already trust, then wait for victims who arrive through ads, search results, direct messages or lookalike links. Once a visitor believes they are on the real service, the page asks for whatever it can monetize: account credentials, a seed phrase, a wallet connection or a payment. Anything entered goes straight to the operators, who can use it to empty accounts or wallets long after the page itself disappears.
Fifteen of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-13. The vendors include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, CRDF, CyRadar, alphaMountain.ai and the predictive engine Bfore.Ai PreCrime. Spamhaus lists it in its domain blocklist under the phishing category (DBL_PHISH), and three AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it. The crypto-specific listings matter most here: MetaMask and SEAL both block the domain alongside PhishDestroy, which means wallet users on those protections were warned.
The domain is registered through Global Domain Group LLC. It went offline on 2026-09-13, about six weeks after PhishDestroy first saw it. That date is the same day as the VirusTotal check, a short lifespan typical of throwaway phishing domains. Because operators usually move to a fresh domain rather than revive a burned one, the same scheme may reappear under a different name.
If you entered a password on gambwix.com, change it on the real service and on any account that reuses it, and turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you typed a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and move the funds to a new wallet created from scratch. If you connected a wallet, review and revoke any token approvals you do not recognize. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, search logs for visits since 2026-07-30, and watch for lookalike domains following the same pattern.
