PhishDestroy threat report
fortnic.com is a phishing site that poses as a legitimate brand so visitors trust it with information they would only give the real service. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-19. When checked on 2026-10-19, the domain still answered, but its page content would not load. A dormant phishing domain like this can be switched back on at any time.
Impersonation pages copy the name, look and wording of a trusted service, then put a login, verification or checkout form in front of the visitor. Anything typed into that form goes straight to the operators, whether it is a password, a one-time code, personal details or card data. They then use it to take over accounts or resell it. The page title shows only the bare domain name, which gives a visitor nothing to check against the genuine site.
On 2026-09-30, six of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: Bfore.Ai PreCrime, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. That is a minority of engines, but several of them specialise in catching newly registered phishing infrastructure early. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have independently tied it to malicious activity. PhishDestroy lists it on our blocklist.
The domain was registered through Namecheap on 2026-09-07, just 12 days before PhishDestroy caught it. That short gap is typical of throwaway phishing domains set up for a quick campaign. It is hosted in Turkey on a network registered to M/S ROBI TRADERS. The site uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about who runs the site.
If you entered a password on fortnic.com, change it right away on the real service and anywhere else you reuse it. Then turn on two-factor authentication and review recent logins and active sessions. If you entered card or banking details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any charges you do not recognise. Expect follow-up phishing emails or messages that cite what you submitted. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting IP at DNS and proxy level. They should also search mail and web logs for users who visited it after 2026-09-07.
