PhishDestroy threat report
exitpain.pro is an impersonation phishing page that passed itself off as a legitimate service to capture what visitors typed or approved. Its listing by ScamSniffer, a blocklist focused on Web3 fraud, points to crypto users as the likely audience. PhishDestroy first saw the domain on 2026-09-11. It went offline on 2026-09-13, and on 2026-10-19 the site was still dead with no active DNS.
Impersonation phishing copies the look of a trusted brand so visitors hand over login credentials, recovery phrases or wallet permissions without suspecting a fake. Whatever is entered goes straight to the operators, who then take over accounts or empty funds. The page carried the generic browser-style title "New Private Tab" rather than a brand name, while our classification is impersonation phishing.
On 2026-09-12, four of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and VIPRE. That is a low count, so most engines would not have warned visitors, but the vendors that did flag it work independently of each other. PhishDestroy and ScamSniffer both list it, and four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it, which shows other researchers tracked the same domain.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-02 through PDR Ltd. d/b/a PublicDomainRegistry.com, nine days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap matches a campaign built quickly and used before it could be widely reported. It was hosted on Cogent Communications, LLC address space in Canada. The TLS certificate was not issued by a public certificate authority. It came from a Hestia Control Panel install on a VPS, which means the operators ran their own self-managed server rather than a mainstream hosting platform.
If you entered a password on this site, change it immediately on the real service and on any account that reuses it, and turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you typed a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move any remaining funds to a new wallet with a fresh phrase. If you connected a wallet and signed anything, review and revoke token approvals you do not recognize. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting IP, and search mail and proxy logs from 2026-09-02 onward for users who reached it.

An estimated time describes an observation window. It does not prove a registrar action or the exact moment a site became unavailable.
Dated changes retained by the monitor and source collectors. Newest observations appear first; source states are not proof of a takedown.
