Résumé des preuves
Analysis of citrea.site, created on March 11, 2026 and registered through NiceNIC International Group Co., Limited, shows a classic fake‑airdrop campaign targeting cryptocurrency users. The page title observed was "Giveaway of ctUSD and cBTC," and the infrastructure is identified as a Giveaway Scam kit. The site was served from Cloudflare’s network (AS13335) with the IP address 172.67.178.110 located in the United States, and it employed Cloudflare’s DNS with nameservers earl.ns.cloudflare.com and laura.ns.cloudflare.com. The web server presented a Let's Encrypt certificate (E8) and responded with HTTP 403, indicating that the content is not publicly accessible at the time of analysis.
Technical fingerprints include Hostinger hosting, Cloudflare services, and HTTP/3 support. Multiple security vendors have flagged the domain: nine of ninety‑four VirusTotal scanners reported it as malicious, and the domain appears on four distinct blocklists. It has been actively blocked by PhishDestroy, MetaMask, ScamSniffer, and SEAL, reinforcing the assessment of an elevated risk level. Independent trust scoring from Gridinsoft assigned a score of 0 out of 100, reflecting a lack of legitimacy.
While the site is currently offline, defenders should continue to block citrea.site and its associated IP address, monitor for re‑hosting or resurrection attempts, and add the domain to internal deny lists. Threat hunting should include searching for the Giveaway Scam kit patterns and related ctUSD or cBTC terminology in network traffic. Continuous watch of Cloudflare‑hosted assets and rapid response to any new resolution of the domain are recommended to mitigate potential re‑use.
