PhishDestroy threat report
bagsfumbled.gg is a crypto wallet drainer site that presents itself under the title "Bags Fumbled — See what you left on the table," a social-engineering hook designed to lure DeFi and crypto users into believing they have unclaimed assets. PhishDestroy first identified it on 2026-09-18, roughly three weeks after its registration. The site went offline on 2026-09-23 and remains dead as of 2026-10-19, though the threat it posed while active was real.
Wallet drainers work by persuading visitors to connect their cryptocurrency wallets to a malicious interface, typically through a promise of unclaimed tokens, rewards, or refunds. The page title "See what you left on the table" is a classic urgency lure, implying the user has missed out on funds they can still recover. Once a wallet is connected, the drainer requests a transaction or approval signature that silently authorizes the attacker to transfer tokens out of the victim's wallet. The victim loses control of their assets instantly, often without realizing what they signed.
Four of 89 engines on VirusTotal flagged bagsfumbled.gg as malicious as of 2026-09-22; the detecting vendors are alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, and SOCRadar. While the raw detection count is low, the site appears on four independent blocklists — PhishDestroy, MetaMask, ScamSniffer, and SEAL — and has generated three threat-intelligence pulses on OTX. The MetaMask and ScamSniffer inclusions are particularly significant, as both focus specifically on wallet-targeting threats.
The domain was registered on 2026-08-24 through Key Systems and was active for less than a month before going dark. It was hosted on IP 198.13.158.118, within the BL Networks (BLNWX) network in the United States. The TLS certificate was issued by YE2. The .gg top-level domain and short operational window are consistent with disposable infrastructure built for a brief, targeted campaign.
If you visited bagsfumbled.gg and connected a wallet, immediately revoke all token approvals granted to any contract associated with that session using a trusted approval-management tool. Check your wallet's transaction history for any transfers you did not authorize and move remaining funds to a fresh wallet address. If you entered any personal information, treat it as compromised and monitor for follow-on phishing. Security teams and wallet providers should ensure bagsfumbled.gg and its hosting IP are present in their blocklists, and should watch for successor domains using similar social-engineering language.
