PhishDestroy threat report
worldlibertyfinancialsol.com presented itself under the page title "World Liberty Financial" and copied the name of that crypto project to lure its token holders and prospective investors. The "sol" tacked onto the brand name is a typical lookalike trick that makes the address read like an official chain-specific portal. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-11. The site went offline on 2026-09-12, and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.
Impersonation pages like this borrow a trusted project's name and look to make visitors believe they have reached an official claim, presale or token portal. The victim is then pushed to act, typically by connecting a wallet and approving a transaction, by entering a recovery phrase, or by sending funds for a promised allocation. Whatever the victim signs or hands over gives the operators control of the assets, and on-chain transfers cannot be reversed.
Six of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-14: ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. The overall count is modest, but the support that matters most for a crypto lure comes from wallet-focused sources. MetaMask and the SEAL security alliance both list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, and ChainPatrol specializes in Web3 brand abuse. The domain also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
The domain was registered on 2024-09-14 through TUCOWS.COM, CO., almost two years before it surfaced as an active lure. That gap suggests a name registered early and held until it was put to use. Traffic ran through Cloudflare's network, which hides the real origin server, and the IP geolocated to Australia. The site went dark one day after detection.
If you connected a wallet to this site, review and revoke any token approvals or permissions granted during that session. Move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not fully understand. If you typed in a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer its assets immediately. Report any losses to World Liberty Financial's official support channels and to local authorities. Defenders should block the domain and watch for sibling lookalikes that pair the World Liberty Financial name with chain or token suffixes.
