wethenorth-dark.co presents itself as "WeTheNorth Market | Darknet Marketplace Guide" and borrows the name of the Canadian-oriented WeTheNorth darknet market to attract people searching for access. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page and first detected it on 2026-09-18. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
How the scam works
Clearnet "guide" pages that use a market's name sit between a searcher and the real service. They typically show directory-style links that send visitors to look-alike login pages instead of the genuine one. Anything typed into those pages, including usernames, passwords, PINs and recovery phrases, goes to the operator. Funds sent as deposits to a copied wallet address are lost, and crypto transfers of this kind are practically impossible to reverse. The page title describes the site as a guide, while our classification is impersonation phishing.
Evidence
On 2026-10-01, 5 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, SOCRadar and VIPRE. Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-04 through TLD Registrar Solutions Ltd., just 14 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap fits a site built quickly to catch search traffic. It resolves to 188.114.97.3 on Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada, so the real origin server is hidden behind the proxy. Its Google Trust Services certificate gives it a padlock, but a padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is honest.
