steakrip.com is an impersonation phishing page that trades on the Steam brand. It presents itself as "STEAMRIP » Free Pre-installed Steam Games", and its name sits one letter away from "steamrip" to catch gamers searching for free game downloads. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-07, and it was still online with live content on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Lookalike game-download portals of this kind lure visitors with the promise of paid Steam titles for free, then turn that trust into theft. The typical outcomes are a fake Steam sign-in that harvests account credentials and 2FA codes, or a "game installer" that delivers malware able to steal saved passwords, session cookies and Steam inventories. A hijacked Steam account can be drained of tradable items and wallet balance and then used to spread the same lure to friends. The page title shows a free-games download site, while we classify the domain as Steam impersonation phishing.
